WKU | PCAL 60th Anniversary Branding

When the Potter College of Arts & Letters approached its 60th anniversary, the moment felt a little like opening a time capsule. A celebration of everything built since 1965, but also a promise that the College still has more to say. My role was to create a visual identity that honored that history while feeling alive and present on campus today.

Tools: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva for animation
Role: Brand Identity • Logo Design • Merch • Print and Digital

PCAL reached its 60th anniversary in 2025, and the celebration needed a visual identity rooted in history without losing touch with the college’s current brand. I blended influences from 1960s typography with the WKU | PCAL system to create a clean, retro-leaning anniversary mark that felt familiar, modern, and celebratory. The custom “60” badge and lined motif became the foundation for a flexible identity used throughout the anniversary year.

The system grew into a full collection of deliverables, including mugs, hats, magnets, shirts, baseball jerseys, invitations, event cards, and digital content for social media. Everything worked together to unify PCAL’s departments and create a shared visual language for students, faculty, and alumni. I photographed the merchandise after production, and additional event photography was provided by Kyra Rookard during the anniversary celebrations.
